Am a soundman from the Philippines, and can’t afford the new models of Lectrosonics, so I just avail of used ones from Trew or other sources in the US. Twice, Jerry has fixed 2 of my old model Lectrosonics UCR with it’s UM pair. Very recently , I got a dead UCR190/UM190B and he brought the pair “back to life”. I might say Jerry is the Jesus Christ of old Lectrosonics!

Lectro gear lasts so long and sounded so good so long ago that it can make weighing the option of repair vs replacement difficult. Fortunately, Jerry at Jaycee will tell you without hesitation which repairs aren’t worth the expense – he’s declined several of my repair inquires over the past decade or so. When Jerry agreed to repair two Lma transmitters for me this January he and I were both confident the repair was a good business decision. Professional, personal service from an expert who goes above and beyond to help. Jerry has done rush repairs on my SRBs when I desperately needed the receiver back before a big road trip. He’s also kept alive some old reliable back-up 195ds–the last great fixed-frequency Lectros which are no longer factory supported. Lectro makes great products which we rely on but they do get broken with use/abuse. I count on Jerry to keep these vital parts of my sound kit working well. It’s not that I don’t recommend Lectro Factory Service—which is usually fine but can take some time. It’s that Jerry (with support from his wife Fran) is a great resource for those of us who rely on on our Lectros to get the jobs done.

Jerry Stein

Jerry has performed several repairs to my Lectrosonics Wireless over the years. He recently changed blocks on several of my receivers, 2 400a’s, 2 SRb’s, 2 Venue 2 VRT2’s, and four SMQV’s transmitters. I had considered sending to the factory in New Mexico. I was told it would have take several weeks. Jaycee had it all changed in days for exactly the same price.
